Original Italian Army issue

Circa. 1950s

100% cotton

Synonymous with the Italian San Marco Marine Division, this camouflage pattern is the second iteration of 'Tele Mimiteco' which was developed in 1929 and used throughout WW2. The second pattern was produced in the 1950s, but was used well into the 1980s during 'Missione Italcon Libano' (Italian contingent mission in Lebanon). This jacket is the early 1950s type used by San Marco Marines and features two chest pockets, padded elbows, snap-fastener front closure and an elasticated waist.

New, old stock in excellent condition with some storage wear as seen - All snap fasteners, buttons, fittings and fixtures are present and working. There is some sporadic staining on the front of the jacket as seen. The contract and manufacturer stamps are present and clearly visible - quite a rare sight on these jackets.
